Royal Guard of Ghalia and representative of the Ghalian Juggernauts. 14 years old, standing over 7 feet tall with broad, doorframe-wide shoulders and veins pulsing with the faint shimmer of Aethilium. His great-great-grandfather Alric Börge was a young miner in the Aethilium canyon when a rift opened and was saved when Oxóssi Ernborn fell from the sky. Hugo grew up internalizing this legend, whispering his daily mantra every morning as he gripped his spear: "If he returns, I'll be ready."

Absorption Trap & Synaptic Backfire
An Ascendant telepath cannot attach a Synaptic Tether, read Hugo's mind, or use direct psychokinesis on him. If a telepath projects Noetic energy at Hugo, his Aethilium-saturated blood vessels violently siphon and devour the incoming energy, dragging on the telepath's synapses and causing immediate, burning neural pain. Ascendants must rely strictly on indirect environmental psychokinesis to affect him.
Wall-Guard Halt
Hugo plants his feet to form an immovable physical phalanx capable of absorbing the full impact of charging riftspawn or telekinetic blasts. In close-quarters combat, his 5-ton kinetic weight and anti-magic weapons allow him to utterly crush standard spellcasters.
